Head Unit Security Code Problems...? - Land Rovers Only

Ok, Well I Sold My OEM Head Unit on Ebay for a good price, my problem is that the buyer has taken it to his local land rover dealership to get the security code, and with the VIN number i gave him, the code that matches up in their system does not work on the head unit...anyone ever have this issue or have any solutions they could help me out with? thanks guys

Sometimes the dealer will also need the serial number of the radio as well. It should be located on a label on top of the radio. When I had my 96' Disco I had to pull the radio out and give them that as well as the VIN number.

wouldnt they know to look for that? the dealer trying to put it in w/ the code has the actual head unit..so i'd assume they'd look for that....right?

They should. I didn't realize that the dealer was the one doing the install.

the buyer is sending me back the head unit... dealer can't find right code..and there is no serial number on the head unit they said...
