Heater probs - Land Rovers Only

Anybody help with a heater prob im having on my 1996 300 tdi,
when starting from cold the heater takes an age to throw any warm air out and when it does it blows hot straight away not warm first, but first it stuffs out a load of steam! very strange.

sounds like a leaking heater core with the steam.

but check the basics make sure there is coolant and if is low check to see if it still does it.

IF it still does then perhaps its the heater core. have it pressure checked.
