Hella Lights (top)

I'm looking at putting some Hella lights on the top front of my 98 Discov and was wondering what I would need to mount them up there.

I've seen a few do it but it looks like they have a bar running across, one that I do not have. Must I buy a roof rack?

do you have the factory roof rack and rails? if so, you might can put them on there. if not, you could always get a bar that runs across the top and mounts to the gutters on each side. not sure how that would look on a disco...

go ahead, spring for the rack. there are cheaper alternatives than a full size SD rack, but the full sizes are b-e-a-utiful...

ive got a $200 surco that works just fine.

just google surco roof racks. the rack itself is universal (different sizes, too) but mounting it will be different. you need the extended gutter mounts to do it that way, or if you have the factory racks you can use U-bolts to put it up on them (thats my setup, supports my weight plus more) let me know if you want some more detailed pics
