Muddy Oval-"Brakes are a PITA on a DI to change,"
You're not talking about changing the pads only are you? That must include the rotors. Cobwebs inside! With dirt in them! Makes me wonder what else has been ignored. I'll bet there are fifty little things that "need" repair. GET IT CHECKED! As far as insurance goes, it's gonna cost ya I'm 38 and I pay more for a 95 Disco than my 04 sport bike. Clean record BTW.

one important thing everyone seemed for have forgotten. it will leak oil, don't worry about it. check oil regularly. after awhile you'll know approx how often you should check but for the first few months check regularly. if it doesn't leak oil, then be worried
as for tire size if stock tires i *think* they are 235/70-16 if not, someone will correct me ![]() enjoy your rig |

I'd say those are 245/75's...I think stock are like 245/70's. These look just a wee bit taller.

Well from what I have read it seems like all disco's have the wiring under the seat for the CD player. This is done so dealers could easily install CD players.
I am going to finally go check out the rover with my parents this friday, saturday, or sunday. I will check under the seat- who knows, there could be a CD player there, she might just not know that it is there. Knowing this lady I might not be surprised This is my basic idea- I will install a CD player (or not if it has one). Then I will figure out which two wires carry the audio. I will then cut them and put in a switch. If the switch is in one position it will play the music from the CD player. If it is in the other, it will take the audio from a wire connected to my ipod. Having the other wires that get data on the track # and such it will make it think that the CD player is installed. From what i have read, if there is no CD player to send data to head unit, then it will think there is no CD player installed and will not let you switch to that mode. I am counting down the days ![]() |
