i recently bought a 1995 discovery 1 and i am havin a heck of a time getting it to run right. it threw a code 44 wich was the maf. so i cleaned it. now it threw code 48? what code is that for? and also were are all the grease points on the truck? if u can help please do! thanks!

Can't help you on the codes because ours is a later ECU system but I don't think there are any grease points. Get a Haynes manual as a starting point for service and repair.
You can check all fluids (which I bet need changing anyway) and don't forget to put the correct "knuckle pudding" in the front axle swivels. This is a lengthy job but you can get the correct grease/pudding from LR easily- about $12 per side last time I bought some. There might be a zerk fitting for grease on the drive shaft splines...
