96 Disco currently 93,000 miles and the bitch runs strong like daddy tells her. With me and my love for the Disco I'm looking to go another 93,000 easy with prevenitive repairs and wheeling.

Default looks like my baby "REX" is a young one....

Dam, that brings joy to my heart to see all those high mileage Discos out there.

Im the 3rd owner of a 1998 D1 with 81,000 on the clock.

Just sea foamed it, topped off the fluids, squezzed a nipple or two to stop the ac from flooding my carpets, lubed up the door, sunroofs, and back hinges with white lithium and have been driving it like I stole it..

I will tell you this, Im a novice wrench turner with a hudge pension to learn. I just hope I dont fuck anything up... Im to dumb to know my limits . Ha!

Thank you guys for helping me, Im sure i will be needing you more in the future.

Joe

Default Baby's first Land Rover

1998 Discovery I
Black

89,544 when I got it. (last week)
90,287 now.

Already had to replace the passenger rear door power window arm and I'm about to replace the shocks and mounts and I'm loving every minute of it.

Default 97 Disco I SD 4.0L V8i Beluga Black

97 Disco 110K

Bought it over a year ago with about 96000 on it. (It hadn't been taken care of very well)

VSS
oil cooler hoses
driver' seat
lots of relays
new fuel pump
inertia switch
Throttle control valve
Mass Air flow sensor
new spark plugs
new spark plug wires
new radiator plug
radiator flush
head gasket
front seal
new top sections (engine)
new oil pan seal
change the oil every 3K
change the transmission fluid with the oil
new air filter
had 100K service; replaced all fluids; differential, etc.
replaced autodimming mirror with another (it went bad too)
contemplating a new paint job and head liner.
seafoamed more than once
New Yokohama Geolander H/T-S tires a year ago
new brake switch
new clip on gear shift knob

I guess it really isn't a 97. Mostly its a 2006 disguised as a 97. (Runs better than you can imagine...but check engine light still comes on sometimes)
