How Do I Start This Thing?!?!

Try cleaning up your connection on your starter.
I had trouble with my 98 DI, turn the key and nothing!
Turned out to be only a dirty connection on my starter. The connector is only a push on type and the post that it slides over gets corroded and needs to be cleaned, Also try to clean the connector itself.

Thanks for the very kind offer John C. If the problem gets worse and you still have it I will certianly take you up on the offer.

At the moment I am prepared to live with it as I don't want the hassles of going to the Shop again. Imagine going to your "stealership" and having to communitcate in sign language or through a third party and you get the idea! Coupled with the fact that the price often goes up 50% as soon as a caucasian walks through the door and I hope you can understand my reluctance!

I really do appreciate the help though. You and everyone else on this site have been fantastic
