Default I think I found my replacement...

I ran across this listed in the DFW area... I totalled my 98 disco. As much as want to hang on to it... I ran across this and OH MY GOD>>>

I just have to convince my bank to make my loan on this...

The asking price is 25,000.

Nice part is it is a dealer. Say, will any mechanical parts from a 98 Disco work on this?

It is a 94.

My only concern is the credit union. When I purchased my last vehicle they looked closely at the miles and year of the vehicle. I dont know exactly where the cut off is made.

My credit union will make loans for used cars at 6.25% and 6% if I set up direct pay.

I am already nervous about this...
I am going to make a honest effort at this one. If anyone else wants to look it over be my guest.

I ran across this today. I want to run down tomorrow to see in person.

Here are some picks of the inside.

With it being a bit on the basic side and the tear in the seat you should be able to talk them down some!!!

Drive it first for as long as you can. See if you like the agricultural feel of that manual.

I prefer auto for off-road for the torque multiplication and the fact i only have two feet so two pedals work better for me, as I left foot brake off road.

There's a sweet Diesel D90 for sale in CO for the same money.

25k for a 1994? You can do a lot better.

The 94 and 95's had the shitty top. Also, make sure the LT77 transmission has been ditched and replaced with a R380.

You should be able to get a chrisp 94 with a Badger top and R380 under 20k.

Or, buy CVC's D-90 that was burned. Buy back your dicso, and re-use the motor, hoses, wiring, ECU, etc... to rebuild it. That would make a nice truck! A 95 with a 4.0 and auto transmission.........

Dealers always price things with a margin for haggling... that's an unusually clean one for a 94- but no back seat. no mention of miles and engine condition etc though. If it has a newer engine or other significant upgrades, it might be a good way to go at a negotiated (lower) price. The guy who bought my 94 financed it 100% at $30K, so there are some banks who will do it.

looking at a pic of the shifter, does look to have the upgraded R380. i believe LT77 is up and to the left. R380 is down and to the right. definitely seems a little steep for what you are getting. buddy picked up a 40k mile, clean as a whistle 94 about 2 years ago for $24k. of course this one is at a dealer. will they certify it with the 1 year/12k mile warranty?

Ouch! For $25,000 (even for $15-20,000) you need a comprehensive inspection by an outside shop. Also, and most importantly, you need a 1 year mechanical/electrical warranty. If the dealer won't give you the warranty, let someone else buy it.
