Thanks Mike,
I'm going to take it for a test drive and see if that had any thing to do with it running a little rough. If not, my next step is probably the Throttle position sensor.

It should only effect the engine at an idle only. Mike |

It starts fine, but idles a little fast at first (1000 to 1200 rpm) and then settles back to 740 or so. It runs fine, gets 14 mpg or so, but I can feel it at 65 or 70 sometimes running a little rough. I thought maybe tires needed rotating, so I did that. No change. After finding the dirty battery lead and cleaning it, everything was fine for about 600 miles, then the check engine light came on. Previously it had codes P1178 and P1176. Now, just P1176 which is that the fuel is being pushed to max of its range...if I understand FMFR max positive value correctly. I thought the MAF sensor was bad and bought a used one previously, but that apparently isn't it. When I treated with seafoam the other day, I saw smoke on the passenger side of the engine, but was in a garage and wasn't sure if it blew back in from the tail pipe. I'll get another can and someone to help me. Maybe I have a bad gasket between the exhaust manifold and the cats. I've read posts where similar symptoms ended up being the throttle position sensor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
