Life expetations of a 200TDI? - Land Rovers Only

Dear all,

thanks for all answers and help in other posts!

A quick one this time - what is the expected life lenght of a 200TDI engine?
Mine has 200 Kkm on the clock (aprox 110Kmiles), running in Norway it has most likely never done any real high speed driving (due to regulations...).

Is there anything I can do to make sure it lives another 100kkm?
Anything I should worry about?

I had a 200 that had 150000 miles when i sold it, my friend has one with 178000 on the clock, another has one with 180000, and one of my fitters has approx 160000 miles, all reguarly serviced oil every 3/500 miles.

I think that should be every 3/5000 miles. Otherwise you will spend all you time changing the oil.
