LT77 for 2.0MPi 93 disco

Hi,I don't know if anyone can advise but i have a landy 2.0MPi which needs a gearbox,ok i have found out the LT77 is the right one,however,i didn't want a new one put in it,a second hand one is needed and even though i can buy an LT77 gearbox it is out of a 200TDi-same LT77,however,i am told it might not fit? can anyone enlighten me please!

Hey Farmgirl welcome to the forums. I am fairly sure that the LT77 out of a 200tdi should be a straight swap with yours. For a better answer drop the guys from Ashcroft transmissions a line, if anyone can give you a definite answer it'll be those guys.
