I clean it when it looks guiness black.

I even let it sit in a cool oven to help it dry out.

My mechanic is 50 min away so I dont want to have to roll up there just to have my codes cleared.

As for exaust, I did that as soon as I bought her.

Flow master stage two. Sounds liek a old mustang. I love that burly sound at 20 mph.
Sounds better then my 66 Rivi, lol
And yes, the exaust did make a difference.
Wish there were other things we could do like bore n stroke the motor, but too many lame ass computer sensors would go off.

Oh man, I wouldn't like any other sound on my rover than the stock. I love how it sounds like a BIGG machine! A Mixture of a Jet Engine with a Printing Press..lol. I love how unique it is, and i think it just sounds good. When i do upgrade my exhaust it really wont be much of an upgrade because I'll be replacing the pipes for Stainless Steel pipes. That might be happening sooner than I'd like because the rattling cats are driving me nuts!

I JUST finished the Installation of my new OME Steering Damper. Question though...did any of you guys have to reuse two of the little ringplates on each side? The ones that go closest to the brackets and that have the little spout?

Unfortunately, I didnt get pictures of the Installation Process because my hands were always dirty, and I tried using my gloves for this purpose but the inside of my gloves are dirty too..lol. Sorry Guys!

I just ordered my K&N also. Should be here in a few days.
I also ordered new plugs, but went with NGK Coppers. Cheaper, and better spark from coppers, the downside is that you will have to change them more often....which isn't a big deal.

Hey JC,
Don't get the 7mm plug wires, get the magnecore 8MM ones. They will fit just fine.

Also, take care of those cats ASAP otherwise you will burn out your O2 sensors and plug up your muffler. I put in a glass pack right behind may cats and my performance has increased.

By the way, I just mounted 265/75/16 MT's on my D1. Thing looks knarly now.

One last thing...there is no cure for the bug you have been biten with. Just learn to live with it and don't max out your credit cards! You'll need to room for gasnext summer for our trip!

Thanks Binary. I thought it would be a different avatar then a whole truck shot. (Thanks IB) I can't wait to see some pics of El Capitan with his new bar! I try to keep her clean, it just doesn't work so well, she needs a bath every week!
