I have a roll of 2"x 50' Thermo Tech Wrap.

$30.00 shipped US. (jegs ends up right at $50. shipped)

I bought extra when I was building my kit car.
The box got wet in my garage but the wrap is wrapped in plastic.

Mark, is that the sleeve style or the adhesive type? And just out of curiosity, what car were you building?

Default Hi Lifts

Persoanlly l would dump the Hi-lift and go for a tirfor winch, safer to use, more versatile and cable gives you more options for winch points.

Hi-lift needs sturdy points to operate on your vehicle so l agree that means without a BULL BAR or REAR STEP BAR or ROCK SLIDERS its useless piece of kit.

Warning on mounting your Hi-Lift jack on your rear moutned tyre, in a accident or under servere breaking it moves forward and will destroy your rear windscreen, seen it happen countless times in Australia.

I made a wooden box for mine and it lays across the floor of the Range Rover which also holds my tyre levers and puncture repair equipment and spare bottle jack.

SInce 1984 l think l have used the Hi- Lift twice and don't take it out with me unless doign a few weeks expedition style trip thru the outback

The wrap is the kind you wet to form and then its held in place with hose clamps.

The kit car is a 355 Spider with a chevy V8.

UPDATE:
I think I'll be using Mobil1 oil from now on. The engine is running the smoothest it ever has! At red lights, the engine will return to idle and feel as if it has suddenly shut off, then I sit and wait a vibe, and if I dont get one, I roll the window down to make sure my cats are still rattling. I guess the cleanup had a lot to do with it as well.

This weekend I'm going to make some time to install my new antenna.

Also, our fellow Drum has shared with me the brilliant idea of rhino-lining my Mantec snorkel. I've always complained about the thin powdercoating and don't know how I didn't think about this for myself.

I was also suppose to see about a headliner replacement last week but couldn't due to feeling crappy. I hope to get this done soon as it is the first thing people notice about my interior, right before my dash-bezel being held down by duct-tape.

I got a Hitch mounted M6000 recently to handle rear recovery situations. But after much thought, I dont think it will handle a bad recovery operation and may do more damage than good, so a simple and hardy tool like a Tirfor is definately a good idea.

Hitch mounted winch is gone now.

I've had an oil leak through my oil pressure switch for some time now and the last two days it decided to get worse. I was going to replace the stock sender with tubing for an Autometer oil pressure gauge but have decided to keep things somewhat clear inside the cabin. With a guage, It'll be one more thing to be aware of and will be difficult to mount it so that it looks like it was suppose to be in the cabin...( i like the clean look ). And you can't beat the $8 replacement cost of the switch.

Oil Pressure switch, stock air filter, and fuel filter ordered.

In the meantime, I also went a head and ordered Hella H4 bulbs. I will eventually replace the bulbs and entire headlight wiring with IPF's heavy duty loom and XX Bulbs.

So I went ahead and ordered the IPF Headlight loom. It should be here Tuesday and I would be installing it that same night.

I've also decided to begin planning for a dual battery set-up. I'm thinkin of purchasing two Exide Gel Cell batts (one starter and one deep cycle). I would LIKE to get TJM's IBS Management system but dont know who sells them so if you own one and happen to be readin this, please chime in. Second option would be Painless Perfomance's weatherproof kit.

Thanks to local Landy owners (Drum and SpydrJon from Dweb) I have been offered two flat locations where I may FINALLY install my lift.

Later on I will update this thread with an up to date To-Do list which shows all the repairs and modifications that have been done recently or still need to get done.

Got one.. got it from Steve@DAP ... www.4x4connection.com also sells them I believe... I like it, but I still think its too expensive, I'd probably go another route... run them parallel with the ability to isolate them... can probably do it with just a heavy duty switch for under 20 bucks..
