Neutral Safety Switch? - Land Rovers Only

Drove Disco I throughout the day. Drive. Park. Drive. Park. etc. When I went to start the vehicle again, did not turn over, not even a peep. Dash lights up, radio works. Mechanic tells me I need a Neutral Safety Switch. What's that? Where's it located? I need to source the product. Price? Suggestions? Thanks again.
