New Owner Questions - Land Rovers Only

Hi All

I am now the proud owner of a 98 Disco XS 3.9lt V8 Auto! And that is all I know about the car!
I found this forum on Google looking for specs on the car and it seemed like an excellent place to start.
I think that the first thing I would like to establish is where were they built and how do I tell if the odometer reading of 75,000 is in miles or kilometres?
I purchased it from the British Embassy in Lebanon so I would suspect it is in miles but they advertised the car as it being in kilometres... I am not too fussed either way as I paid next to nothing for it.
Any info would be greatly apprecialted!

Welcome aboard!

How high do the numbers on the speedo go? If it's around 210 then it's in kilometres. If it's quite lower, then it's miles.

Yes I should have thought of that!
I shoudl hopefully take posession of the car in the next few days so I will check it out!
