Default new rover needs engine

So my first Disco is finally in my drive way. Bought it knowing it nees a new engine. The previouse engine started getting a very bad rod knock. and at this point it will not start. So I need some sudjestions on where I can either find an engine, or if I should do a rebuild on the engine that is in there. Any imput would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

think that's a question none of us can answer... do you have the tools? do you have the time? do you have the patience etc etc etc.
are you looking for a new motor, used or rebuilt?

Instead of throwing good money at a rebuild, go the few extra yards ($$$) and drop in a 4.6. You won't be sorry. BTW, what model Discovery do you have?

I'd go for a 4.6... I am gonna build up a 4.6 in my RRC.... I know there is a shop here in town that does a lot of that type of stuff... they may answer your questions... www.pikespeakrovers.com ...... They have always been great to me
