They slide and then snap into place.
If the "snap" is broken you can wrap it in electrical tape and then slide it back into place, if you look at the fender where it goes you can see the cut out for the slide/latch thingy thing.

I believe P38 has same side repeater, EBAY Yes, the push straight in and then slide/snap into place foward or back. Can't remember. I think it is forward. The notch will make it obvious.
