I have a 94 discovery (3.9l V8) and the temperature needle goes up to right about halfway on easy driving, and then varies ever so slightly just above and under the halfway-mark. In heavy traffic it goes up to about 3/4ths the gauge. Just got it early this year and have never had one so I don't know where it's supposed to be - is this normal?
Thanks in advance for your help! |

Sounds like it is moving about a little too much.
I would suggest you check and clean the outside of the radiator, maybe look at replacing the t/stat, maybe consider going to a radiator shop and ask them about roding out the radiator to reestablish good flow. Try those for starters. Mike |

whatever it is, I would have it taken care of ASAP, V8 Rovers tend to be unforgiving when it comes to overheation
