Alright, I did a bit of a search, and I just got done reading Felix's post so I'm going to check on the belt during lunch, but I was wondering, what would cause a DI to suddenly stall out? This just started recently in the past 2-3 days. It stalled out in the morning two days ago, and then again today, only difference being that today it stalled out two times in a row after I came to a stop, and when I pulled into my space at work, the tach needle dropped to below 500, and felt like it was about to stall out.

Any ideas on what the cause may be? I'm guessing it might be a fuel issue, but what do y'all think?

First thing I think about when that happens is the infamous stepper motor - pull it, clean it, and see if this helps. Also see if someone running the same engine will let you borrow it for a few minutes. Your fuel efficiency should also drop off pretty badly with a bad idle air control valve.

Other things to look for could be fuel pressure related (clogged filter, pump on the fritz, a relay, fuel injectors), or electrical (plugs, wires, distributor, coil).

Let us know how it goes...

Good luck!

Oh, and isn't it time you switched your avatar to something, say, for Valentine's?

I thought of the IAC valve after I posted this, so I'll definetly check that as soon as I get home, along with everything else. Can I use carb cleaner on the IAC?

And I'm looking for another avatar... maybe one for easter too?

I decided to just go with a pic of a friend. I gotta get one of her on the Disco one of these days...

Back to the original topic though: F-it. It overheated today, spewing coolant everywhere, and since I have school starting on Monday and a project for work to finish this weekend, I ended up dropping it off at my mechanic.

*sigh*

Whole weekend w/o the Rover... this sucks.

Nah, don't worry about it. He's worked on the truck before, and all of the family cars before that, so he knows what he's doing.

And Incubus, this is her MySpace page if you want to check out more of her: MySpace. I dunno if she still has the lingerie shoot pics on there. She's incerdibly intelligent, but a bit out there sometimes. She came to my NYE party wearing lingerie but then I ended up being her bodyguard for a couple of hours It was fucking awesome night though

Well, I don't know yet why it was dying out, but it turns out the fan clutch and the water pump called it quits. Now I'm getting a new set of hoses, thermostat and gasket (just in case), new water pump and fan clutch.

Well, there goes the BB springs and shocks money..
