OBD Code
Greetings. I'm new to the site and to Land Rovers. Bought an '02 Disco II Kalahari w/75,000 miles and a '98 Disco I w/123,000 miles for my teen to drive. The service engine light came on this weekend in the '98 right after having the oil changed. I think this is a coindence. It's been running fine on mid-grade but had to put off-brand in it last time. Stopped by Auto Zone today to buy a bottle of Chevron Techron and had them check the codes. It read P0316 and they also told me it need plugs and wires. Any help out there with the code?

Hello, try this site for code reading, probably not a bad idea to invest in a code reader for the trucks. Sounds like it needs plugs (Champion), and wires (magnacor), for a start. Let us know if you need anything further.

Ok, thanks. I didn't see code P0316 on the link you suggested. May be that the guy at AutoZone gave me the wrong code. I'll take it back again. I'm not sure when the plugs and wires were last changed so it's probably time to do that anyway, althought it's currently running very smoothly with no misfires.
