Oil or Grease? - Land Rovers Only

I've noticed that after sitting all summer in a garage in Arizona, the swivel balls in the front are pretty dry. I was told to use LR grease specifically made for this application, but I've also read on here to use oil. So whats your opinion? and where can I get this Oil/Grease?

Is there also a place to lubricate the rear axle?

First of all, use the grease, it holds up better, doesn't leak as easily nd gives more protection.
As for the rear axle, as well as the front drain and replace both diff housing with 80/90W gear oil.

When you say swivel, do you mean the swivel on the hub for steering??

Land Rover EP90 is what's required, but most LR's bust oil seals pretty regulary and leak oil over the rim. A few years back LR did develop a grease variant of EP90 so it didn't matter if the oil seal leaked or not.

Thanks for the replies. yeah I'm pretty sure I meant the hub for steering, the ball that the front tire pivots on.

If it is an emergency, go use some gear oil, if you have time use the grease, it is far better, ask any shop.

The most intriguing answer I've heard is to use the LR one shot grease & fill the rest of the way with Lucas Climbing Gear Lube.
