onboard toolbox? - Land Rovers Only

i was thinking of building an onboard toolbox in the storage area in the rear...where the jumpseats go (if you have them...i don't)

anybody done this?

I just keep a footlocker in the back, it holds all my stuff and is reasonably portable (though I have a hard time lifting it on my own, I'm a wuss).

I have plans for some drawers around here somewhere....I need to find them as several people have asked for copies....too many to scan in to make a zip file. If I find them, I'll make some copies and snail mail them to you.

Be careful what you make them out of. With wood the weight can build up very quickly and affecting fuel economy, performance, etc. Keep it as light as possible.

I just throw the half Craftsman of tools in the back and hold a good majority of my tools. Plus I manage to haul my tools wherever I go. Why? Cause I never know when something might break.

Although I need to make another box that will hold my extra set of wrenches, and other stuff.

but I do want to make some sort of easily removable (jump seats

drawer type thing. but this works for now.
