I look forward to hearing from KC on the new setup, too.

In January I replaced my 10-year-old OEM coil with one from MSD (#8222 - high vibration, "off road"). I didn't have the discipline to hold off on some other mods (magnacor wires) and a tune up, and I suspect that one of my injectors is on the fritz, so I can't really say that there's a significant performance gain from just the coil. I have been able to add about 50 mi to a full tank's endurance (city driving).

Of all the mods I have seen, the MSD coil isn't exactly one of the most expensive. Go for it!

Good luck!

thanks for your interest in us guys. We found in interesting that we may have a broader range over here, but yes we do have a 3.9.
We have just returned from a great 4x4 wkend and she ran like a dream for the first time in mths, we had the radiator sorted, picked her up on the Wed and left on the Thur for a town down south called Balingup. We had no overheating problems, we even got to run the aircon for a day.
We have just fitted the MSD coil and will test that out in a few wkends time. Will let you all know how she goes, we really do expect a big difference. I will get my notes together and post up soon a list of the mods and expenses we have done to our Landie. Kelly
