discooo mike!!!! help. please. i have a P1316 misfire excessive emissions and a P1317. this happened out of nowhere on the highway. came to a stop after exiting the highway and turned to pull up to the red light. i then noticed my truck was running rough and rocking. got it to my destination and the light came on. cel displaying these codes. as well as some others but when i did plug wires and a new set of plugs they havent come back yet. havent driven it much dont want to harm my rover. so they may come back. one i believe was a p0300 if that helps.

Cool was it a bad fuel pump lewistheturtle

Hi i have the same problem p1316. when i fill the truck up at the gas station the fuel pump doesn't prime and the truck wont start. The other day the truck stalled out on the road for the first time. it didnt want to start because the fuel pump wasn't priming. sometime the fuel pump primes and sometimes it doesn't. could it be a bad pump? thanks.

I had a similar issue with a 98 disco 1. First, I wasn't using high octane fuel. Second, I changed the spark plugs and had two cylinders mixed up. Third, one of the new spark plugs I put in was faulty and leaking current. If I ran the engine in the dark, I could see an arc between the wire and exhaust. Changed that plug and it ran great.
