Default painting bumpers

couldnt find anything anywhere on the net about doing this to land rovers...

my corner bumpers are all faded quite badly...they are all now a light grey color while the center of the bumpers are only slightly faded but are still black. has anyone ever painted these? im not quite sure how to remove them, so any help with that would be great, but im thinking about taking some good duplicolor and getting them back to their original black...

ideas/comments/suggestions?

The front corner bumpers are quite easily removed from beneath - it's all phillips screw heads and hex bolts (if memory serves, a 13mm socket).

While you're down there you can also remove the air dam (the center plastic "skirt" underneath the bumper) that most of us simply leave off for better approach angles over obstacles. If you do leave it off, you'll have to "modify" the corner parts. You'll see once you get started...

Good luck!

Back to Black works quite well. I use it on both my disco and MINI.

Believe it or not, peanut butter also works well to renew faded plastic parts.
Buy the creamy kind...not crunchy

just got a coat of back to black on all of the bumpers...looks GREAT! ill skip the pics bc im assuming everyone knows what a shiny piece of plastic looks like...I would give it a 7 out of 10...simply bc it took about 3 layers to get it to actually stay black and stop soaking in...

if it fades again, ill skip the rub ons and paint them

Try baby oil, it works the same as back to black, and is cheaper , yet lasts longer......
