all too common a problem.

first try adjusting the striker on the door as that can show a marked improvement otherwise try typing "discovery door springs" into ebay UK. a set of these will usually cure the problem and no doubt if one of the locks is playing up the others will soon follow so its worth having some spare.

good luck.

Wayne I have been through this with my whicle. I have solved it on my disco with no money. I found the following was going on.

There is a push rod under the button that gets bend from pressure of going up and down over the years. It is threaded and adjustable. You can undo the clip and screw it further along to get more travel on the button in relationship to the lock. This will help.

Another thing I found was due to bending of this control pin to the button that the button material (plastic) became misaligned to the hole in the door trim . A combiantion of being on an angle and years of dirt help restrict movement of the button. You can also play with the trim and button to make sure it moves freely. There is adjustment on the button with a thread. My drivers door button is a bit higher than it should be but all doors work fine.

The outer door handles can also slacken over the years of use therefore not pulling the control arm far enough. This is also adjustable from inside via threads on the control arms under the clips in the door.

The mechanisms are operated by the electric solenoid which operates the keyless sytem. An imporvement of the movement and adjustment will thus fix the electric locking as well.

With the trim off you can operate the solenoid with your remote and see that it is not travelling far enough to be effective. You can adjust it on the threads.

I found one or more of these adjustments necessary on each door but it cost me nothing. They have been good for over two years now.

regards.
