Default Please tell...

Please tell if the CD changer sits alone on 2 peices of wood glued with some black stuff under the seat or if there's actually a case it is supposed to sit in. Someone took mine out before we drove 13 hrs to NY to pick it up and there are 2 small blocks of wood with leftover black gooey stuff....
thank you- as we have nothing to compare our Disco to at all around here.

Used Blue, the bracket in question is a U shaped bracket that your player sets inside and is secured by screws. Here is what my parts CD (has parts and workshop manual) and i recommend you spend the $30 to get this from BA.

AMR3029 is the bracket part number
the screws are typical M5-20 and can be purchased at Lowes, etc.

don't know about your other post concerning if other radios work in the Disco I as I am a purist and have 2 very factory Rovers, with only Rover parts.

Thank you for the part number for that - now I can install this changer. The person we bought this from put the JVC radio in and we want to put an original back in it once we find it for a reasonable price - we just wanted to know if the changer would work off of their crapy JVC. I don't care if the radio is fancier, I too believe it should only have orig parts and opts.

Thanks again
