How many miles on your current wires, how about the plugs?
I wouldn't jump into pulling and cleaning the plug wires if they are very old, chances are you will damage one or two in the process of removing them.
What brand of wire are you using?

hows the fuel pressure. I would check to make sure it isnt bleeding down by an injector staying open.

you need to check pressure it should be around 32-36 psi. also when you turn off the key the pressure should hold for twenty minutes. if it drops you got a problem.
