Default poor man's sagging headliner fix

Has anyone ever used a staple gun to reattach sagging headliner as a temporary fix?

Yes. I used regular ol office staples. Does the job and way smaller. Hell no, not in the rover...yet. It could use it right now. I worry it might show if I paint it/ make more work.

I used spray glue on mine but the crappy foam under along with the deteriorated material....it didnt work but for a day or two. Its really the damn foam under there that flakes off no matter how much glue I use.

I don't know about you guys, but on mine, I pulled the headliner, and replaced the material. Enough headliner fabric to do it, and the glue ran me under a hundred dollars total.

Good call i agree totally. Im trying to figure out if i need to run power for lights up top and possibly switches under the headliner board. So trying to plan for the future. Sounds stupid trying to buy time with staples and glue but for me fore thought is always a wise decision. I know i would just rip it out and throw in a new one then realize later i need it out to accessorize. Easy to make temporary solutions sound dumb until you dig a little deeper. Hell I have a 19in led tv extra around my house Im trying to dream up a mount for. I prolly wont do it....just making the point. Do everything you need to do while your in there.

Default Headliner

Go to your local hobby store and ask for some T-Pins, Place them strategically in the corners and viola, problem solved

However it is real easy to fix it permanently

regular straight pins work well.

it's not that easy to fix right and it surely takes time, energy and materials.....so while you're waiting for all of that to do it the right way, pin it up.

I took out the whole headliner, removed fabric and scraped off all foam.Picked a color to match interior ( flat latex) painted and reinstalled. No ghetto and looks great,"do it right once".It is not easy to r/r the lid but well worth.

I like this idea! I'm going to give it a try, what kind of paint did use?

I took off all of the top half of trim peices, including the headliner (removed fabric and hit the foam with a wire brush), then primed and painted everything with bedliner. I wanted something I could clean with a sponge, and am happy with the results.
