Here is a one of a kind, made the bumper and used HID rectangular lights, which I have since increased to 3 lights adding one to the center.

Here's a pic of 3 Hella 4000s. My avatar shows 2 Hella 4000s on the OEM brush bar.

It would be hard to get a good mounting spot on the factory bumper, I think the lites would shake alot.

Yea I would say hold off until you get a aftermarket bumper. That would kinda be like hanging a heavy picture from drywall with no anchors.

If you remove all the plastic stuff from the bumper, you'll have a couple spots to mount lights. However, I personally wouldn't put anything there, because it would essentially put the lights forward of anything metal by an inch or two (I used those holes to mount my UK license plate). You could chop/remove the grille and put lights there, I guess. Or, just cheat a little and mount lights to one of the crossrails of the factory roof rack (which is the current location of my lights, and I'm working on a better mount for them)

Some pictures of my truck, to give an idea of what can be done on a low budget (most of the mods and accessories visible in these pics cost me less than $200 collectively)
