Default Problem with windows

Okay let me start off by saying I know this has been covered before many times, but I am in no mood to search today.

Okay on to the problem, the rear windows in my 97 Disco only work sometimes. I can have no problem with them for days and then other times I have to drive around for 10 mins before I put them up or down and still other days they will not work at all no matter what. It happens to both sides and it always happens to them at the exact same time. Meaning if I cannot move one I cannot move either and if I can move one they wil both be able to move. It is never just one or the other.

That link is very good. I had a broken sauter exactly where the pic showed. It fixed 50% of my problem. At least one window moves now!

yes, I found that some joints look ok, but when I looked very, very closely, they seemed a little off, and so I resoldered all the joints that looked even remotely suspect, and, vuoala (sp?)...rear windows returned.
