so after a grand last week for new trans colling lines and motor mounts to be instaled in my disco (normaly i would do this stuff but i have been to raped up in work) my stearing box blew a lower seal and when i was under her i heard a new noise. so i had a hammer in the truck and i hit the cat and the noise went away so that cat is going bad.
So hear are my questions: has anyone overhalled there own sterring box or is it best to just get a new one. and has anyone used an aftermarket cat in place of a stock ones for you have to buy both and thats close to $800 bones. any help would be great guys
I bought a cat pipe set from ebay, the ebay store was Auto Parts Warehouse, phone#1-866-503-5181. I paid $375 free shipping. They bolted up fine, passed smog check this week.
You don't have emissions in the Springs? I only have 1 cat, but mine passed. I bet Cali will make you have EVERYTHING your truck came with though. I have a dog in my RR sometimes too.

I've felt like hitting my cat when he makes noise, but he usually shuts up if I give him food.
