Also should have mentioned:
- check engine light is always on - antilock lock is on (that's probably another problem) - recently had a new catalytic convertor installed - backfires occasionally - no previous records for repairs, etc. - mileage on 1997 is 143,000 MILES - don't know mileage on 1995 engine but may be able to find out unless someone knows of an easy way to tell - brand new battery The CD Manual (borrowed) refers to Fuel System as Tdi, MFl, SFl, Mpi - what is the difference? Even if I read all 873 pages, doesn't mean I understand them! Thanks. Desertwoman |
