Exclamation Question

I have a 96 disco. Yesterday I some how managed to get stuck in a pond. The water came up to the bottom up my dash, soaking my window panel and seat adjustments. Now everything electrical does not work like its supposed to. Could someone tell me the parts I will need?

Depends on what all died there is no specific parts that will need replaced. You are going to have a lot of trouble shooting in your future.

Prior Planning & Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

[Off Road Driving] Wading

but Mom all my friends we're doing it. Give it a few days to dry out shop vac all the water you can out of the carpets check all the connections for water intrusion and dry them out as needed.

Last but not least sacrifice a virgin to the rover gods he/she must be at least 21 years of age to qualify and not over 30. After 30 it's no longer a virgin it's a loser

Blake88888,
There are to many electrical components to count under the passenger side dash, relays...etc. The main thing that I would be concerned about is the Security CPU. (See attached) This CPU connect to many of your systems and if you do a search you will find has cause more problems than can be counted.

If you can afford it, I would find a shop that works on LR's (Hopefully not a dealer) and have it towed there and let them look at it. If not I bet there's a pretty good chance you end up replacing that unit.

Again there are just so many things that might have been effected in that area.

Anthony

You might want to post what is and is not working if you opt to go at it yourself.

True, but hanging from a tree is MUCH easier then throwing in the dryer.

Alright. Well thanks anyways for all the advice. Most likely I am going to take it to Outback Offroad tomorrow and see what they can do. I am pretty sure its the most important and expensive electrical part that there is!
