Also some springs, like OME, have progressive spring rates. So they can accomodate for different weights on different sides of the vehicle...at least while driving.

Is it me or did the previous installer install side to side instead of front to back. With the small ones on the pass side instead of the front.

So one way you can balance out the front suspension would be to use one or two of Rovers Insulators, each one will add nearly 1/2". and are designed just for this purpose.
Go look at Expedition Exchange for these under Rover parts.

I went with Big Blues from DAP and couldn't be happier. But if you go down to Pikes Peak Rovers get some OME springs. I would be willing to put them on for you that way you don't have to pay for the install. Good Luck!

Its common for a disco to have a smaller spring on the passenger side front . My 99 had this same Disco lean . I don't know why but this is common and not on all trucks for some reason but I run into 2 out of 5 D1's with the same funky spring ??who knows?? I went with OME 751's up front and I think 762's in the back and it rides better than stock and about 3 inches of lift with tires ! Theres my pennies ! oh if your in Co. Springs , Call Eric at Pikes Peak Rovers there great guys --- http://pikespeakrovers.com/index.php

1 - The ground is not even.
2 - Ho loads the shit out of his truck so how do you know the truck is loaded evenly.

Default Hmmmm???

Ok, I will give you that HO loads the shit out of his truck, I will also note that HO is not a small man. Ho knowing this would probably load his truck evenly, although looking through the rear window it doesn't look like there is a ton of gear in there. Although, it is possible he has a couple cans of water or fuel in there.

In this photo with an H2 next to it the H2 looks quite level compared to the D1.

Matched springs are a hoax causing a Disco 1 to lean towards the drivers side.

I can see we are not going to agree on this topic but that's OK. I have been around enough rovers to believe what I believe.

The old "carefully matched spring" hoax... It's all BS.
Put matched, meaning identical, springs L and R and it'll sit level. Some Discos lean because of all kinds of strange reasons- I've seen binding bushings, worn bushings, bent anti-roll bars... There is no L and R spring anymore- same for series trucks too.

That is exactly my point. Stock springs do not have the same load rating per each side. Neither do OME springs unless you ask for them to be "matched" - as in identical load ratings.

If you were to replace the original springs with stock springs, you will get a slight lean to compensate for driver's weight and so forth. So, empty - without load - the Disco will slightly lean becoming more noticeable as they tire. With load, it will look even.

I currently have OME springs and they are not matched - my Disco leans to one side - and the springs are not tired - and yes, they are installed correctly. Knowing what I know now...I will go with identical load bearing springs from BB or RTE next time.
