I think my radiator is clogged or something, it runs hot when just running, but when I turn on the heat full blast it runs normal?
The fan clutch seems to be working (IE i shut off the car and immediately the fan stops spinning, not freewheeling) Engine is old, but I dont think the sleeves dropped yet, we'll see. Any recommendations on a radiator? |

Hey BD, I would first pull the gasket between the radiator and the AC condenser in the front and shine a flashlight down in there to see if there is debris buildup between the rad and the condenser. I cleaned mine out a year ago, looked in there just the other day, doing routine cleanup, and was amazed at the buildup of crap in there. cleaned it out and now the truck runs much cooler. Others will chime in on thermostats, etc, but this is a no brainer and easy and cheap.
