Have done some work on my 95 disco and had the battery ground cable unhooked. Now, everything back together and the radio wont accept the code
I didnt mess with anything and the truck starts and runs fine no engine codes ,everything is as it should be, Anybody have a suggestion?? And I do have the right code for the radio. |

I botched putting the code in on my rover once. The way to reset it is to let the car sit with the ignition in the accessory setting for one hour. Then try again. Worked on my 91 RR, hopefully will stilll hold true for your disco.

Another possible explanation for the problem is that your code is for the original radio but it was replaced (under warranty?) and the replacement requires a new code. Are you absolutely sure the radio is the original?

Yea its original. I did the key thing and it accepted the code, Never had to do that before, usually put the code in once and down the road we go. Thanks I had forgotten about leaving the key on, I`ve had my disco for 7 years and have had so few problems with it, I tend to forget the little things:>)

Another possibility would be, and I think your radio has it, the internal battery inside the radio is shot and it has lost it's memory. If that is the case, it is time to look for a new radio.
