Default Rear windows not always working

Hi everyone

I have a 300tdi 1995 model Discovery and the rear windows work intermittantly. Some times i will start the engine and they work straight away and other times the do not work until after driving for about 10 minutes then other times they do not work at all. It occurs from both the switches on the centre console and also the door switches. They do it together never seperately

Does it sound like a poor connection somewhere?

Cheers for any help

Yeah, it does sound like a poor connection, a bad ground maybe, the lock swith in the center to lock the windows might be loose.

Try to mess around with a voltmeter to see if there is any power going to switches, going to the window motors when the switches are being used, etc..

window ecu. you need to pull it and resolder it. do a search on window ecu and you will find a good tech writeup. If not on this site, then on Discoweb. If you still have trouble, shoot me a pm and I'll give you the highlights.
