Default refueling problem

Three times this has happened to me now since purchasing a year ago. Will not let me fill up more than 5 to 7 gallons. Gauge is less than 1/4 full. Is this common and what do I do to fix this.

Could be you or the gas station itself.

when i drove my disco out of california the same thing happened to me. i had to put in gas so slow it would take me like 15 minutes to fill up the tank. i believe the answer is related to an emissions control device in the filler neck of the gas tank. i'll try to search some more for you today.

I've had this problem on occassion. It appears to me that at certain gas stations they have the pump pressure adjusted up really high. When I go to a different station, where the gas doesn't pump as quickly, I have no problems. The solution I found was to avoid the pumps where the gas is dispensed at a high pressure. My suggestion is to try a few different stations until you find one where you don't have the problem. Hope this helps!

I used a syringe to squirt some fuel injector cleaner down the breather hole, and that fixed the problem.
