Default Relays Relays wher are you?

On a 95 Disco 5-speed left drive US model vin SA. I have a factory parts catalogue and on page J17 shows passenger footwell hinged bracket. It shows 5 relays laying flat (i found) and 3 relays vertical, all i see is the mounting tabs, no relays to be seen. They are for power wash, ABS warning and ABS pump, where are they located? They are not in the LH and RH footwell A post area. Any help please, Carl....................o&o>...................

Default Relays

According to my manual, the relays are found behind the passenger side fasica. However, this manual is for right hand drive cars, so yours might be behind the driver's fascia.

However, you state that you have found mounting tabs but no relays, which is odd. Does your car actually have ABS? Follow the brake pipes from the master cylinder. If they head into a box with four brake lines coming out, then you do have ABS. If they simply split into the two braking circuits, then you do not have ABS, which might explain the absense of relays :-)

There should be three ABS relays controlling braking system load, braking system pump and braking system warning. I am curious as to what has prompted you to look for these relays in the first place, though.

Default ABS relays

Kevanch, it's a left hand drive 95 Disco 5-speed with ABS. The ABS light would go on and off, reset wheel sensors (one was 1/16" out). Now light stays on. Been reports that the warning light and ABS relays can fail, but i can't find them. Thru pictures from the factory workshop manual they are not around, as well as the parts catalogue, i have both. Thanks, Carl........o&o>....

Default missing relays?

dent, this is a second owner vehicle, new to me in 1-2000 from a doctor at end of 5yr. 60,000 mile lease. Because it was a clean highway vehicle and 5-speed i had to have it. I wanted a challenge, i got it. The parts catalogue shows a swing down bracket under the glove box and shows three relays (the missing ones). This is LHD NAS 95 Disco. Thanks, Carl.........o&o>.........

Default parts catalogue

Carlos, the catalogue was given to me by a person in parts department. He became a good friend, i helped him on BMW motorcycle (i've got 9 bikes) and he helped me. I believe they are not to given to the public. Between the 577 page catalogue and a workshop manual i've got a little advantage.

Default gear box, big $$$

Dent, within the next two weeks i'm going to pull the trans, 5-speed because it's been a town vehicle and the synchros are tired. Also the transfer box will be gone thru as it wines, more like a bearing noise than gear wine. Must change the clutch disc and pressure plate, it's been a shaker since the new 4.6 28,000 miles ago. I hope the output splines ok, the dealer said i had the new gear. I'll have to sell the kids to pay for the parts, Ha Ha! Carl....o&o>.....

Carlos
I have 6 versions of RAVE discs, which show a LOT more info than you need. I make copies for $5ea, or $6ea if you want the discs to look almost original. Click my signature and look in the Spare Rover Parts photo album.
