I would think any place that installs alarms, audio/ video, would have something or could give you an answer.

I am sure that you can. Check out the Viper line. I had one on my pervious vehicle but its a little pricey. It did come with a pager and motion and knock sensors.
The only challenge I would think is if your Rover's key has a chip in it to disable the ignition. You would have to get another key coded that could be used in the install. That key would be hidden inside the vehicle in a special box during the install, and accessed when you use the remote. If you do need to get a new key coded the dealer will have to re-code all your keys and not just the new one. A DI probably won't need a coded key, (check), then the only thing to do would be to find someone with an understanding of the rover security system and able to integrate this into the vehicle. Most Remote starts should have a time out feature that will allow the vehicle to turn off after a set amount of time if it is not drvien. You sure you want to idle a v8 for 10-15min? DD |
