Default Replacing Seat Belts

Can you replace the seat belts (rear) yourself? One of my 'clip-in' seat belts is broken (the black & red plastic are gone), and the center seat belt no longer adjusts.

I have looked at them and can't figure out how you would do it.

Thanks for the help!

Yes it is very easy. It is just bolted to the floor. You will need a large hex headed socket to remove them(any Sears or the like will have what you need tool wise). I had a front passenger seatbelt reel go out on me and I just checked around at my local salvage yards for one. Found one from a 95 and it fit my 97 for cheap and in VERY good shape. Also there are a few people on this forum that part out Rovers, Paul Grant comes to mind.

Default Thanks

OK - thanks - I was afraid this was a stupid question. For some reason I was looking for a way to do it without removing the bolt. Duh.

Thanks - I will look on here for some replacements.

Use some pb blaster or other penetrating oil a few days before.

When I tried to replace mine, I trashed several T50 Torx heads and it still never came out! I passed the project on to the new owner, parts and all.
