Default Service Engine Light 1999 Discovery SD

I have seen some posts concerning the "check engine" light but not on the "service engine" light. Had the reader module hooked up and it came back with no codes. Can anyone tell me how to reset the light on this model?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

not sure on the d2s but its a little box under the pass seat or in my case under the passenger kick panel that you just put a small metal object into the hole and it touches the 2 metal prongs and its reset...hope that helps ya find it.

My Disco has a CD player in access panel under the passenger seat. I will look to see if there is anything else in that area. Thanks.

I think the cover says TRW on it. It should be in the pass kick panel. Remove the sticker, and there should be a paper clip size hole. Turn the key to ACC, and touch the two prongs with a metal object. Sometimes, you need to remove the cover.

I recently ran into the same problem. I found the switch. Touched both of the metal prongs together with a paper clip, with the key on the ACC and fully on. And I still have a check engine light. I have a 99 Disco S1, switch was behind passenger kick panel.

Did you check for codes (at Autozone or your an OBDII reader)?
