I am bringing my D1 to the dealership for the first time. This is for the Gas-Tank Recall. Can anyone tell me how good their service is. Did they take good care of your Rover/s. Did they do a good job. Did they replace your Fuel pump as well? I just want a general idea. I just got through calling them, apparently there was no one to take my call about the recall
. I was told they would call me very shortly... that was 30 min ago! They also sounded unprofessional, and less than nice on the phone... . This is not a good start......!

Call them regarding the gas tank recall. If they don't have them, you will have to wait until they have the gas tanks in stock. Call other dealers and use the BBB if you have to.
A few of the dealers are called "stealers" here in passing. As for my expierence, I live in NYC and went to Manhattan Ford/LandRover and they charged me $600 for the recall. They kept my Disco for over one week, scratched the paint, and marred the interior. In short, I won't be going back to them and I don't recommend them at all. Are there monsters out there? Yes. But you came to the right place. Adam in NYC 1996 D1

I had my D1 fuel tank recall serviced at Land Rover my bumper cap driver side was hanging off alittle it wasn't when I dropped it off. I think they were jealous because my Disco was lifted. Monsters. but the tank itself works great and appears to be strong.
