Default shaky brake pedal ABS?

Have a 97 Discovery & going over bumps could feel brake pedal vibrate and also seems like a relay is activating. Have to step on barake pedal harder to stop doing it more frequently & also sometimes ABS light comes on ANy ideas?

Yes, that is the ABS system. It may be malfunctioning.

Check your brake fluid level. take the D1 on a test drive. Do stopping manuevers in a empty parking lot. Tap light then accelerate then brake harder and harder. Does it stop safely to you? If not have the pads front and back inspected for proper thickness. Also have the shop check for air bubbles and have the system bled.

Had the pedal sink to the floor on the highway in stop and go traffic. It turned out that the front driver brake pad had broke in two.

Before you do all that check the abs senors. They come loose and/or get dirty.
