Setting a smaller gap is much better particularily for cold starts. I set mine at .035".

Wasnt meant for you.

I am just amazed at how many questions are asked on this board that are answered with a service manual.

Why someone would try to repair a car without is is beyond me.

You don't even need it to gap the plugs you can just look in the owners manual under general data.

Oh by the way - had a blast changing air intake, valve cover, and oil pan gaskets, radiator hoses and heater hoses, plugs and wires. Took me a total of 12 hours and wasa pain in the ass!! But it was fun and well worth doing myself!! Not only did I save a ton of money by not taking it to a shop but learned a lot about my vehicle as well!!

Hey now, Dont get the wrong idea. Questions are OK and good.... But that question, and many others I see on here would be answered with the manual. And, with a book in front of you, you can review the proceedure before taking it on. It will improve your odds of a successful repair 10 fold.

The most successful DIY repairs I see are the ones where someone gets the proceedure from the ir manual, reviews it, asks people in a forum such as this to clarify things that may not be clear, then take on the repair.

Glad to here you get your repair licked though, It is a great feelign seeing your work bear fruit.
