I also replaced my component speakers with the 4" polk db400. Crutchfield.com had them buy 1 pair, get the second pair for half price, which was sweet since there are 4 of them! They sound great and handle a lot of power for a 4 inch cone. not much bass though, you'll want to add a sub.

Thanks, Guys!! Got Panasonics in - kevlar ones in the back, but they were too protruding for the front doors, sop got lesser ones. Soun ds much better - also got a Panasonic single slot CD player in dash - built in sub - but there are vibrations now coming from the rods within the front doors (between the handle and the actual lock!!) Also, one of the back mounting panels vibrates too.

Still, better sound now.

Thanks for your support and advice

Regards

Ray

4" MMATS components up front...4" RF coaxials in the rear....And 6" MMATS subs in the door....All run off a Memphis 4 channel amp for now...Suprising how it thumps for 2 6"'s subs.

A friend of mine who works in a hot rod shop thought up the design and built them for me.
