Default Stuck on rear brake disc replacement

Hi,

I thought I would save some money and replace the rear discs and pads in my 95 disco....

Everything was going fine, following the Rave manual (aside from some very stubborn bolts) until I got down to the part where you have to bend back the lock washer tabs. (rear hub assembly in the manual) For the life of me I couldn't think of a way to get them off that wouldn't fubar the lock washer. Is this a part that gets replaced as a part of the rear disc replacement or am I missing the right tool for the job?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've put it all back together again. I would rather not take it to a shop but I will if it needs it.

Replace the tab washer and then the outer nut and tighten it. Bend the tab washer inwards to lock the first nut and then outwards to lock the outer nut. Clean the old gasket off the drive flange and fit a new one. Replace the drive member and turn the disc until the holes line up and replace the bolts.
