Default Towing package

Ok, so someone school me on what the Disco 1's towing package consists of.

I was under the impression that if a Disco had the towing receiver in the back that it would be "tow ready", apparently not. Unless i missed something.

I went to tow a trailer and "assumed" that there would be a wiring harness for the lights already installed, not so.

I know that in other SUV's they are tucked inside the truck somewhere, do the disco's have this?

Thanks.

Mine was there I think, but there is a plug tucked in behind the right taillight. It's a proprietary 7-pin round connector that another multi-conductor connects to that then runs out the bottom to the trailer connector. But you can, if you want, cut the end off the bundle of wires and run your own setup. You'll have to get one of the Eurpoean to Domestic light converters.
Here's how I did mine:

The Disco 1 should have a towing loom behind the right side rear light cluster. You should also be able to access this plug through a drop out plastic panel inside the vehicle partly hidden by the right hand rear seat (or storage bin in the case of a 5 seater). If you don't want to use a genuine set up, just cut the plug off and wire in directly, be careful of the purple thick wire as this has a permanent live 12volt feed.
This all assumes that NAS spec is the same as UK spec as far as wiring goes.
Looks like Antichrist got in first with the same advice, but this just confirms what I assumed.
