Default Towing Package for '95 Discovery?

I need to tow another automobile with my 95 discovery. Does anyone make a towing package?

Thanks!

You already have the hitch, you need the wiring now! That is what I am guessing anyway. There are sites such as Atlantic British - Land Rover Parts & Accessories | Range Rover, Discovery, LR3, LR2, Defender, Freelander and Land Rover Series Parts & Accessories that have kits but they are exspensive, If you can get by with a 4 pin set up and a car dolly U-haul and Walmart will save you a lot of $$

I am going to flat-bed tow my trans am from Texas to Wyoming. (about 5,000 lbs)
Can it tow that much weight?

Yes, there is a hitch on the back of my land rover.

What else do I need?

Oil Cooler? Wiring Harness? Or is the Rover Ready to rock and roll as it is now?

Thanks!

5,000 is a lot for that distance, the max is 5,500! can you do it, yes, but I would use a tow dolly it if possible. Another issue is with that kind of weight from just the trailer and the car you will need to pack lighter yourself.

Rovers already have the oil cooler and such. The wiring harness is your choice, if you go with the flat bed you will want the brakes on the trailer so you will more than likely need a 7-pin with a brake controler. IMO it will be cheaper and easier to just go to a local trailer shop to get what you need!

From there you just need to see how much of a drop the trailer needs and what size ball it takes.

can it do it? yes
Would I do it? no

If your going to do that make sure to hook up trailer breaks and be prepared for a long slow ride. Short wheel base long heavy trailer = no fun for long distances.

You would need a wire harness to handle the lights, a fresh tranny service and oil change, if your truck were newer, but if you haven't changed out your shocks and coils yet, the suspension won't handle it.
